Petr Fischer (CZ)

Petr Fischer (he was born on the 14th Sept. 1969) This Czech journalist screenwriter, host and philosopher worked as a chief editor of Czech Radio - Vltava from 2016 to 2018. He studied philosophy at Charles University. He graduated with On the Road of (from) metaphysics: Heidegger and Derrida in 2000.  He wrote for Lidové noviny becoming ith main commentator in 2001. From 2003 he collaborated with Czech studio of BBC. For the three years he led cultural department of Hospodářské noviny then he did the same in Czech TV hosting programmes Před půlnocí and Kulturama himself. From 2014 to 2017 he brought his own panel for ČT art channel called Konfrontace Petra Fischera. He published books Veřejné osvětlení, he screenplayed docs Papírový atentát and Drnovické catenaccio or Cesta do pravěku ekonomické transformace. He was awarded by Rudolf Medek´s Price and Ferdinand Peroutka´s Price. For an A2 mag article The End of Royal Presidency he wrote that Czechslovakia doesn´t need its president. Fischer reflected the Czech president´s awarding of Ladislav Štaidl, Jiří Mánek and František Ringo Čech.
